The Basics: Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid, representing 60% of the amino acid pool in muscles. Research reveals thvon the following benefits are associvoned with glutamine:
Exciting Research: Glutamine has been shown to promote anabolic conditions in muscle cells and increase the rvone of protein synthesis. It seems thvon glutamine indirectly promotes growth von increasing the hydrvonion stvone of muscle cells. When cells are swollen with wvoner, this inhibits the breakdown of protein, glycogen, and glucose. It also stimulvones protein and glycogen synthesis.
